How the Deadlines Work
When do I need to verify my identity for Companies House?
Existing directors provide their personal code in their company's next confirmation statement after 18 November 2025. PSCs who are not directors provide it within the first 14 days of their birth month. PSCs who are also directors provide it within 14 days starting the day after the confirmation statement date. New directors must verify before they are appointed.
What is the final deadline for Companies House identity verification?
The transition period for existing directors and PSCs runs from 18 November 2025 to 17 November 2026. Most people have an earlier personal date, set by their confirmation statement date or birth month.
Where do I find my confirmation statement date?
Search for your company on the Companies House register. The company overview shows the "Next statement date" and when the next confirmation statement is due.
What if my date has already passed?
