Business Address Questions
What is the difference between a business address and a registered office?
The registered office is the company’s official address on the public register, for letters from Companies House, HMRC and the courts. A business (trading) address is the one you give customers and suppliers, on your website, invoices and letterheads. It has no legal role, so it can differ from the registered office.
What mail is included?
Letters sent to the business address and the registered office are received, scanned and emailed to you. Ask us before ordering if you expect parcels or need post forwarded to you.
Can I use the address on Google Business Profile?
No. Google does not allow virtual or mail-handling addresses as a business location on Google Business Profile. Use the address on your website, invoices and business documents instead.
Can sole traders use a business address?
This package is for limited companies registered in England and Wales, because it includes a registered office and a director service address. Contact us if you are a sole trader and only need a trading address.
Can I use the address to open a bank account?
Banks and payment providers set their own rules, and many ask for the directors’ home addresses as well. The business address can be given as the company’s trading address.
