Your home (residential) address is also given to Companies House, but it is kept on a private register. It only becomes public if you use it as the registered office or as a service address, which is what these services prevent.

You upload a photo ID and a recent proof of address when you order, and we check them before your address goes live. Address Service Questions
Which address service do I need?
If only the company’s address is your home, a registered office (£39.99 a year) is enough. If you are a director and your home is your service address, choose registered office plus director service address (£59.99). If you also want an address for your website and invoices, choose all three (£99.99).
Can one address be my registered office and my service address?
Yes. A director’s service address can be the same as the company’s registered office. The combined service gives you both at our address, so neither the company nor its director shows a home address.
Can I switch an existing company to your address?
Yes. Most customers already have a company. Once your address is set up, the change of registered office is filed with Companies House (form AD01, free online) and each director’s service address is updated. We tell you exactly what to file.
Do you cover companies registered in Scotland or Northern Ireland?
No. A registered office must be in the part of the UK where the company is registered, and our address is in England, so it suits companies registered in England and Wales only.
Why do you need my ID?
Businesses that provide registered office and correspondence addresses must check who they are acting for under the Money Laundering Regulations 2017. When you order you upload a government-issued photo ID and a proof of address from the last 3 months, and your address can be used once we have checked them.
